Murdoc Specializes In:
Graphic Design, Typesetting, Brand Identity, and Photography. Murdoc's approach is that every project is a story waiting to be told, whether the media is print or digital.
Depending on the time of day, Johnny Murdoc is a graphic designer, a publisher, a typesetter, a writer, an editor, and a photographer, a sex educator, and an activist. Most importantly, he's a storyteller. Murdoc splits his time doing freelance work and operating Queer Young Cowboys, a small press dedicated to intimate and honest explorations of gay male sexuality.
Murdoc lives in St. Louis, MO, with his husband. They have an urban garden where they used to have a driveway. They ride bikes and drink beer and whiskey and don’t eat meat. Murdoc has one tattoo and it sums up his world view: “Truth is singular. It’s versions are mistruths,” a quote from David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas. Some day he’ll have more tattoos. He likes stars, campfires, and floating down rivers.
Johnny Murdoc is the nom de queer of Jared Rourke.
